Sturbridge, Massachusetts: Palmer Woman Dies in Route 148 Accident

May 6, 2014: Deborah Parker, 58, of Palmer, Massachusetts, has died after sustaining serious personal injuries in a car accident.  Parker was driving a sedan when she allegedly crossed the center line and struck another vehicle, which was occupied by Ryan Fabrycki, 22, and Conor Fabrycki, 21, both of Sturbridge, Massachusetts.  The accident happened at approximately 12:00 a.m. on Sunday in the northbound lane of Route 148 in Sturbridge.

According to police, Parker was traveling in the southbound lane when she traveled into the northbound lane and collided with the Fabryckis’ vehicle.  The Sturbridge Fire Department freed Parker from her car using the Jaws of Life.  She was transported to Harrington Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.  Ryan and Conor Fabrycki sustained only minor injuries and were treated at the scene of the accident.

Police have not yet determined the cause of the accident and it remains under investigation by the Sturbridge Police Department and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Collision Reconstruction team.
