May 6, 2015:  Brian White, 43, of Hamden, Connecticut, and Todd “Demse” Zullo, of Northampton, Massachusetts, died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained when the van they were traveling in overturned on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Westfield on Sunday morning.  White was driving the van and Zullo was a passenger.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, the vehicle was traveling in the eastbound lane of the Massachusetts Turnpike, when White lost control of the van, causing it to turn over and collide with the median.

White was pronounced dead at the scene.  Emergency medical crews transported Zullo to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, but succumbed to his injuries and died on Tuesday afternoon.  Both White and Zullo were members of a Northampton based reggae band, called The Alchemystics.

April 28, 2015: April 26, Ashley Hartung, 31, of Whitinsville, Massachusetts, died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained when the car she was traveling in, struck the guardrail in the southbound lane of Interstate 495, near exit 17.  Hartung’s sister, Crystal Legassey, 30, of Oxford, was driving the car, and suffered non-life threatening injuries. April 16, 2015: Last night, Timothy Melcher II, 24, of Cotuit, Massachusetts, died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained when the van he was traveling in overturned on Route 25 in Wareham.  The name of the second occupant, known to be a 20 year old man from Wareham, has not yet been released. March 12, 2015: On Monday morning, Meaghan Noel, 22, of Taunton, Massachusetts, died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained when the SUV she was driving was involved in and accident with a tractor-trailer. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Sandra Debonis, 52, of Warwick, Rhode Island, was also seriously injured. March 2, 2015: Yesterday morning, Theresa Suprenant, 22, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained as the passenger in a single car accident, which occurred on Route 18 in New Bedford, near Elm Street. While state and federal prosecutors in Massachusetts have secured more than $150 million of the $1 billion raised by alleged investment fraud, known as “TelexFree”, victims’ claims for restitution have yet to be processed.  Authorities have said that these funds will not be available until the conclusion of the U.S. Department of Justice’s criminal case against the perpetrators of the fraud, Carlos Wanzeler and James Merrill.   The court handling TelexFree’s pending bankruptcy proceedings also has approved a method for disbursing funds.

November 21, 2014 – On Tuesday morning, Lawrence Barros, 32, of Centerville, Massachusetts, died as the result of personal injuries sustained in a head on collision with a truck operated by Michael Dalto, 45, of East Bridgewater.  At approximately 6:30 a.m., Dalto was traveling in the eastbound lane of Route 6, when he crossed over the median into oncoming traffic, and struck Barros’ sedan.
