September 28, 2010 – Cheryl White, 49, from Rockport, Massachusetts, has sustained serious personal injuries resulting from a car crash involving Leon Bishop, 23, from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Apparently, Bishop was headed north on Interstate 95 in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire when his pickup truck traveled into the southbound lanes and collided head on with White’s sedan. The accident happened just north of the Route 84 overpass at around 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
Bishop was allegedly thrown 25 feet from his vehicle after the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene. White was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and treated for her injuries.
Authorities, including the New Hampshire State Police, the Hampton Falls Police and Fire Departments, and the Seabrook Police Department, immediately responded to the crash site. The southbound lanes of Route 95 were closed for nearly an hour.
The accident remains under investigation by the state police.
