Warren, Massachusetts: Taunton Woman Killed in 2 Car Accident on Massachusetts Turnpike

March 12, 2015: On Monday morning, Meaghan Noel, 22, of Taunton, Massachusetts, died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained when the SUV she was driving was involved in and accident with a tractor-trailer. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Sandra Debonis, 52, of Warwick, Rhode Island, was also seriously injured. The accident occurred on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Warren, near the border of Brimfield.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, Noel was driving in the eastbound lane when she lost control of her vehicle, and crossed into the westbound lane, where her SUV collided with the tractor-trailer. Noel was ejected from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency medical workers were able to remove Debonis from the tractor-trailer, and she was transported by medical helicopter to the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by Massachusetts State Police, as well as the State Police’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and Crime Scene Services Section.
