June 25, 2013 - Steven Khabbaz, 27, of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained when he was struck by a vehicle. The accident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Saturday near exit 26 on Route 3 North in Billerica.
According to the Billerica Police Department, Khabbaz was involved in a single car accident along Route 3 and then exited his vehicle and began walking down the roadway. At some later point, he was struck by a passing vehicle just north of exit 26. Massachusetts State Police reports have indicated that Khabbaz died at the scene.
Several other accidents were caused as a result of the body in the roadway. The accident remains under investigation by the State Police.
