Revere, Massachusetts: Two Teenagers Die in Rollover

August 8, 2009 – Jason Foster, 17, of Ipswich, Massachusetts, and Erin Leary, 16, of Norwell, Massachusetts, have died from personal injuries suffered in a car accident early Wednesday morning on Route 1 in Revere.

Three others, all teenagers, were also seriously injured, including Kelly Ann Barber, 19, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, who was driving the 2000 Mitsubishi Montero. The three were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment and all are expected to recover.

The group was traveling northbound near Copeland Circle in Revere when Barber lost control of the vehicle, which rolled over, struck the guard rail, and traveled across Route 1 before hitting a concrete barrier. Foster was the only occupant who was not wearing a seatbelt. It is not known at this time whether speed or alcohol were involved. The accident remains under investigation.
