Sandwich, Massachusetts: Centerville Man Killed in 2 Car Accident on Route 6

November 21, 2014 – On Tuesday morning, Lawrence Barros, 32, of Centerville, Massachusetts, died as the result of personal injuries sustained in a head on collision with a truck operated by Michael Dalto, 45, of East Bridgewater.  At approximately 6:30 a.m., Dalto was traveling in the eastbound lane of Route 6, when he crossed over the median into oncoming traffic, and struck Barros’ sedan.

Barros was pronounced dead at the scene. Sandwich Fire and Rescue transported Dalto to Cape Cod Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Following the accident, Route 6 westbound was closed at Exit 4 for three hours as the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section investigated the scene.

Barros leaves behind a wife and two children. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. As of today, no criminal charges have been filed.
