June 25, 2015: Connor Darcey, 21, of Wellesley, Massachusetts, has died, and Harry James, 21, also of Wellesley, sustained serious personal injuries, when the car they were traveling in crashed in the North End Section of Boston. The driver of the vehicle also died. He has been identified as a 27 year old male, but his name has not yet been released. The accident happened at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015.
April 16, 2015: Last night, Timothy Melcher II, 24, of Cotuit, Massachusetts, died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained when the van he was traveling in overturned on Route 25 in Wareham. December 16, 2014: On Sunday morning, Keely Walsh, 18, of Lancaster, Massachusetts, died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained as a passenger in a car, which collided with a tree. November 21, 2014 – On Tuesday morning, Lawrence Barros, 32, of Centerville, Massachusetts, died as the result of personal injuries sustained in a head on collision with a truck operated by Michael Dalto, 45, of East Bridgewater. At approximately 6:30 a.m., Dalto was traveling in the eastbound lane of Route 6, when he crossed over the median into oncoming traffic, and struck Barros’ sedan.
November 17, 2014 – Lucille Francoeur, 76, of Warwick, Rhode Island, has died as the result of personal injuries sustained in a head on car accident. Francoeur was a passenger in a car driven by Denise Wilkie, 55, of Little Compton, Rhode Island, whose car collided with a vehicle driven by James Martin, 46, of Provincetown, Massachusetts. The accident occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Saturday on Route 6 in Wellfleet, Massachusetts.
October 31, 2014 – Derek Murphy of Lanesborough, Massachusetts has sustained serious injuries as the result of a car accident involving a dump truck, driven by Michael Biagini of Cheshire. The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning on Main Street in Dalton.
September 3, 2014 – Kerri-Ann Roberto, 33, of Lowell, Massachusetts, has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained as a passenger in a single car accident. The driver, Frank Orocho, 39, also of Lowell, was injured in the crash. The accident happened at approximately 7:50 a.m. on North Lowell Street in Methuen.
June 30, 2014 – Nolan Toski, 23, and Nathan Raffol, 19, both of Wilbraham, Massachusetts, have died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained in an auto accident. Adam Surrette, 24, of Springfield, was seriously injured in the crash. The accident occurred on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Monson Road in Wilbraham.
June 17, 2014 – Wesley Schutt, 62, of the Feeding Hills section of Agawam, Massachusetts, has died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained in an auto accident. The accident occurred on Saturday at approximately 4:40 p.m. near the Meadows Section of Route 116 in South Hadley.
April 18, 2014 – William Barnett, 20, and Alyssa Grenier, 19, both of Stafford Springs, Connecticut have died as the result of serious personal injuries sustained in a car accident. Barnett was driving a minivan, which was struck by a tractor trailer. Grenier was a passenger in the van. The accident occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of the Massachusetts Turnpike in Framingham.
According to police, Barnett’s van spun out of control prior to the truck colliding with the passenger’s side of the vehicle. Both Barnett and Grenier were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was taken by ambulance to Metro West Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not yet determined the cause of the accident, but are considering weather as a contributing factor. The accident remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police. Continue reading
